Colket then placed second in the Olympic pole vault to another Pennsylvanian, Irving Baxter. Colket was better known athletically as a tennis player – he lettered for Penn for four years, was runner-up in the 1903 intercollegiate doubles championship, and later captained the Merion Cricket Club tennis team.
