Letter from George W. Griffin (Indiana Asbury 1864) [now DePauw University] to William Royce Allen (College of City of New York 1866) written on April 7, 1873. The letter was written in response to an invitation to the 1873 Convention to be held later in April 1873 in New York City. George Griffin expressed his regrets on not being able to attend the Convention, but recommended that the 1874 Convention be held in St. Louis, Missouri. That recommendation was not successful as the 1874 Convention was held in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The 1873 Convention (11th General Convention) was held in New York City from April 29 - May 1, 1873 at the Upsilon Chapter Hall and 18 chapters were represented.
