Calvin Coolidge (Amherst College 1895) portrait

An original Calvin Coolidge (Amherst College 1895) portrait was owned and displayed by the New York Club in New York City. In the 1930s, Syracuse brother Burgess (class of 1914) was commissioned to make a copy to hang in the Phi Gamma Delta headquarters (then in Washington DC). When the New York Club closed in the 1960s, the original was moved the Phi Gamma Delta's headquarters and the copy was donated to the Smithsonian Museum.
