MONEY MATTER&
# i
Pi Iota ran smooth financ
through A and B terms. However, a
shortage of money at the end of B
term forced several bills to run
overdue. The problem was resolved
after room and board payments were
deposited.
A reminder to the class of '84.
Most of you have contacted me about
your outstanding bills. I thank
you. Please make the effort to pay
your balances.

HOMECOMING '84
This year's homecoming was an
enjoyable and successful event for
both WPI and Pi Tota. The sunny and
slightly breezy weather was ideal
for the occasion. Graduate
attendence surpassed expectations,
filling the Fiji tent and other
spectator areas to capacity.
The WPI athletic teams performed
admirably. The soccer team shut-out
the Coast Guard squad with a 3 goal
victory. The football team also
defeated Coast Guard 21 to 10.
After the football game the
Annual Rope Pull across Institute
Pond was held, with the Fiji
sophomores occupying the traditional
position at the front of the
line-up. Bill Hughes had the honor
of wearing the tux and entering the
pond first this year.

The front of Old 99 is looking
fine now that the front balcony has
been refurbished. The restoration
will be complete once the new flag
poles are installed.
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
I'd first like to say that I
hope everyone's holidays were as
peaceful and restful as my own. I'm
proud to mention that seniors Jeff
Breed, Gary Iannone, Dave Sheehan,
Ken Ward, and myself have
successfully passed our Competency
Exams. The first semester at Pi
Iota has been everything but dull.
I never imagined that so much could
happen in just this short period of
time, some good and some not so good.

initiation into the fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta.
The 1985
Norris Pig Dinner will be a banquet in Brother Knapp's honor.
This
recognition
of
Walt
deserves
a

and
anticipating the fact. Pi Iota will hold the dinner at the King's
Pub ^nd Restaurant.
Wives are also strongly encouraged to
attend.
Pi
Iota
has
also
secured
William
Zerman,
Executive
Director/Editor of the fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta as the 1985
