1860 Handwritten Charter for the Pi Chapter at Allegheny College
One page, handwritten charter establishing the Pi Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta at Allegheny College on June 5, 1860. The charter is signed by Samuel W. Miller (Jefferson College 1860) as president of the Grand Chapter and Thomas N. Sickels (Jefferson College 1860) as secretary of the Grand Chapter.
This is the only known handwritten charter on plain paper issued by the Grand Chapter. The document has been slightly modified to remove esoteric materials.
