Mu Psi
Samford University
- Founding Date
- Jan 30th, 1856
The Chapter at Samford University was rechartered on August 23, 2025. The Chapter is located in Homewood, Alabama.
Samford University was initially known as Howard College, and the Mu chapter existed there from January 30, 1856, until 1861. In 1965, the college changed its name to Samford University.
The Mu designation was adopted by the chapter at the University of Wisconsin and was not available in 2025 when the chapter was set to recharter. Mu Psi was adopted to recognize the historical ties to Howard College (Mu) and Samford University (Psi).
See the Mu Chapter at Howard College's chapter page for an extensive history of the Mu Chapter at Howard College.
