DEAR BROTHER : -
Delta issues this, her third annual letter desiring hereby to ac-
quaint you more fully with the actual condition of her chapter, both
internally and externally. Our whole aim in the matter is to keep
in touch with our alumni and have them, on the other hand, in per-
fect sympathy and harmony with us. We trust therefore that you
will give this letter your thoughtful and careful consideration.
Our chapter is at present composed of fourteen men, having lost
two men at the expiration of the winter term, both, however, will re-
turn to college. These men are a good, all-around set of fellows.

On account of certain rules laid down by the Faculty of the Uni-
versity, fraternities are not allowed to initiate men until they have
completed one year's work in college. We expect to take in a rep-
resentative crowd of freshmen in June.
Delta still maintains the old rooms at Third and Market Streets.
We now have the entire suite on the third floor. During the past
two years, the chapter has shown the greatest activity in improving
these quarters and we have but just completed the remodeling of the
entire suite. This included hard wood floors, new paper, new furni-
ture, new furnishings and the repair of the piano and pool table.
The present appearance is by far the best ever presented by Delta
Hall.
This, in itself, is of great significance. The chapter hall has
grown more and more to be the home of the boys; we use it con.
stantly and the desire to have the home of the best is indicative of
the culture and refinement of the chapter; the struggle to gain this
end, of the strength of the chapter.
The finances of the chapter are, at present, in an unfortunate
state. The addition of our fourth room, our pool table, and the in-
stalation of electric lighting were all paid for as procured But they
made a drain upon the treasury. While the chapter bore those ex-
penses well, our recent renovation cost us over four hundred dollars
and the chapter was unable to raise all the money at once. Up to
date we have raised and paid over half the indebtedness. More is
pledged and we feel sure that we shall be free from debt by June, at
which time we have heavy payments to make.
We take this occasion to again appeal to you for help. Certain-
ly the activity of the chapter must commend it to you. We believe
the chapter to be still "worthy of your consideration."
Our Twentieth Anniversary.
Twenty years ago this spring, a chapter of was granted to
our illustrious predecessors. Bros. John C. Nissley, Lenhart, Currin,
Furman, H. K. Nissley and Foringer. In June we propose to fitting-
ly celebrate this event For this reason we have been anxious to
complete the renovation of our halls and are anxious to see the
chapter free from debt. We want all those old men, and all our
younger alumni to come back and see what twenty years has brought
forth. We want you to compare our present prosperity with that of
the "three legged stool" and the "round table" we cherish as such
a dear memory; and we would have you remember that such pros-
perity is due not to our efforts alone, but to the manly and righteous
principles laid down by our predecessors, which we have but tried
to emulate. Come up and "be one of us" again
We hope to hear from everyone of our alumni. We shall be
very grateful, if, when answering you will please give your present
occupation and address; any distinctions achieved by yourself, books
written or degrees received; any notable achievements of Delta men;
the names and reputations of any men you know of who are likely to
attend Bucknell in the future; or any facts that will be of interest to
the chapter.
We append a list of our chapter-any corrections of which will
be most thankfully received. We shall be glad to hear from you
frequently and will endeavor to keep you fully informed as to our
chapter's doings.
Very fraternally,
E. BURROWS, Eg (TA)
C. E. GOODALL, E (II)
