Fiji Thought
A Fraternity, too, is of such character
that after men have left college they de
light to renew their own youth by con
tinued association with it and to bring
their richest experiences back to the
younger generation in part payment of
the debt which they feel themselves to
owe to the fraternity for what it gave

With Theta geared for cup competition
I think it is time for substantial graduate
work with the undergraduate chapter. We
have violated national rules and created
an extra burden for our much appreciated
House Corporation. I am referring to our
non-existant Board of Chapter Advisors.
We need about 10 or 12 interested grad
uates who can sacrifice a few nights a
month to work with the undergraduate
chapter. It is highly recommended that
the graduates be within easy driving dis
tance. If you are interested, please con
tact me at the chapter house by phone or
mail. We are going to form this board as
quickly as possible. With Theta swinging
toward national competition, I think
it is essential to get this group working
with us.
I would like to thank Homer Bryant,
'39, and the House Corporation for their
help. They have served somewhat as the
Board of Chapter Advisors and done an
excellent job in their true capacity of
House Corporation. I also want to thank
Howard Garrison, '69, for serving as
Purple Legionnaire last spring. He began
with good ideas for the chapter, but
personal conflicts prevented him from
continuing. Special thanks go to Tommy
Keene,'70, who is now serving as Purple
Legionnaire. He has a tremendous job
and is making an outstanding contribution
while attending Law School at Alabama.
He is designated as an ex-office member
of the Board of Chapter Advisors.
