One of the most incredible items for this
quarters colunm is that Bil.l Ruppel (69j 70,71
77j 73), finally decided-to become a "settleddown" person. He got engaged last wekk to Sue
Smith—the gi.rl of his dreams from California.
In the kid-making race we have recently
had Bob Reid's^entrj'-: a little girl.
Another geed aspiring to 'win, is High Mew
berry who had. a little boy last fall.
It was good t-o hear from Dick Taylor, who
sent us money for the Ifliite Cwl Club, to buy
some beer for the Islander as well.
We're won
dering how he manages to manage a girls softball team.
The newst gradTiate ra^e (at least among the
Psychology laajors) is to have a dog. Clyde
Mel son has a grey great Dane he calls Phaedra;
ar.d Rcciq.'' has a lab puppy called Max.

inar mainly for our new brolhers who have
never experienced fall rush and also for
a new colony member from I.S.U.
Tlie main objectives of this seminar
xwere to get ideas on summer rush, give
the brother-s a concept of t/ne situations.
They prepared with this f-all, to nave
a list ox their ideas printed and distr'i.buted to each merfoer.
Another nen aspect
of our progr-9J"i is a high school spring
rush which entai"'.s visiting the schools
in northern Ut-al' so that we M"e the firs ■
to contact the ru-slices.
According to the last Phald Secret-arys
report, the only area, we fell dowi in, v;a-s
a result of our failure to suhnit :.l(e cup
reports. I don't real.ly know what r.'/nctly
happened, I can only conjecture that, it
was the a,pathy that usually nccompainies
spring qiiarter.
This year our reports are in the fin
al stages of completion thank.^ to the work
of Skip Loefrier and Bruce Donnachie. Cur
Wilki.nson award nominee is Joe Dicta,
rent IFC president.

Intramurals
This season the FIJI Softball team
took fourth place by losing games a.nd
winning 2 by forfeit. We had a vcrj^ close
game with Sigma Wu, losing by one run.
The rest of the games simply say we are
outstanding partyers, and great losers.
