End of the Summer ~ '73
circulation; -r/- ~*
Thought for riox^-: Get ready to see all those ugly FIJI faces for another year,
A change in last months newsletter: Ronnie Hill didn't lose his scholarship
because of grades...reason is that dumb ass coach Coffy-Coffee-Coffie (pick one)
gave out to many scholarships and the NCAA cut back on loans...Both Bill Ritchie
and Ronnie lost out,..ain't it a bitch...pass the wine...Rich Rau joined us one
weekend with Debbie...Imagine traveling 300 miles with a broad to go for a ride
in a dune buggy in the rain...refill my glass, will ya...Seacaptain Brad Abrams
really did it this time...started his boat in the back of his trailer...4 tons
of concrete hull...looks good for an upsidedown boat, but for a duinby like me, it
looks like an overgrown sick whale with a fin that dry-docked in a trailer court
350 miles inland...shows how much I know...Steve Stamper is getting married to
Linda on the 8th of September...Tom Payne is best man...Brady Gorman is an usher.
..John Hughes will have goodies to tell you all about the Academy-either before
school starts in a letter or at the first meeting.. .We're beginning throwing around
ideas for a homecoming float...Theme "Spirit is the key in '73"...nifty, huh...you
guys got a surprise when you venture back to school...HINT - it's in the basement..
.HINT,HINT - it concerns the bar...No, Shields and Woo didn't tear it up again...
you'll see when your fannies.arrive ...I'm sorry to report to report that your
sweethearts "meg" father passed away on August 22...Meg and I were very surprised
and delighted at the thoughtfulness of a very large purple and white flowered
arrangement that was set to the funeral by the FIJI brothers at Tech...We're
making the mental adjustments ...on a happier note, Stacey Sole and Cheryl were
married in August...Real nice wedding in Oakton...the Boss and I stayed with Dava,
Betty, and Meatball £cat) Russell, so that we could attend the wedding...that crew
is fine...Jack Owen, Judy, and Marv Snyder send their love...wha...President Hughes
wants me to tell all you smart businessmen to think about money projects we can
start here at FIJI...maybe summer gave you some ideas... SHOCKER OF THE SUMMER WOO GRADUATED...hummmm...not to many of us guys around still trying after 6 or 7
years...cough...would you believe 9?.,.Tom Rau is still in Alaska...probably
freezing his
