Homecoming
Mark your calendars today for a fun-filled fall
This year's homecoming should be one of the best
for Chi lota.
In keeping up with tradition, hospitality and ex
citement will highlight this year's homecoming
celebration at Chi lota. The agenda is as follows:

The year has started off very well
for the house and we are proud of
some of our early accomplishments.
First, the grades from last spring

of 3.779. We are keying on scholarship both with
our new pledges and Rush and the dividends are
paying off.

include an intense community service campaign

of these include a softball game with the Cham
paign police, a canned food drive, and a Christmas
party for local underprivileged kids. Recently, we
took the opportunity to entertain the BCA and their
wives at a Sunday brunch at the house. We hope
to have more brunches in the future and plan to
invite our neighbors, faculty members, and
sororities.

Canonsburg Revisited....
This summer I made a trip to the

Adam Lingner '83, the only Illinois
Brother to play varsity football for
the mini in recent years, fulfilled a
life-long dream when he made the
Kansas City Chiefs this season.
Adam, a 9th round draft pick,
'started on most special teams dur
ing his four-year career at Illinois.
In his senior year he started at
center and guard in addition to his
special teams positions.
A graduate of Alleman High
School (Rock Island), Adam has ex
cellent speed (4.7 in the 40) for his
duties. When the Chiefs played
Super Bowl champion Washington,
Adam made the record books by
snapping the longest AFC field
goal of 58 yards by the Chiefs' Nick
size, 6'5", 255 lbs.
