State PHI Gamma Delta LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT Sigma Mu chapter is having another good semester this fall and a full GRADUATE CORRESPONDANCE schedule of events lies ahead for A very extensive graduate program is being carried out this semeste:. by the Graduate Correspondance the months of October, November, Committee under the direction of and December. chairman Marty Allison, This program will greatly strengthen the graduate committees now in operation. During the first of the school year the brothers were faced with rush, registration, initiation, house clean-up, and classes all at once. Plans for the rest of the semester include several community service projects now in the planning stages, partici pation in Homecoming sign contest, Halloween Carnival, and Songfest, a reception for graduates at the chapter house, a big Homecoming party and another 50's party, and an active participation in all IFC sports events. The brothers are really en The key point of the program will be the start of a file system on all of the graduates. These files will contain important in formation on the graduates that will better aid the committees in _5heir work. The program got under way a few weeks ago when all of the graduat were notified concerning their correct mailing address. Now; that this mailing address has bee obtained, each graduate will re thusiastic this semester and the ceive a "graduate form record" in spirit of Sigma Mu could not be better, I hope that each of you will pay us a visit this year, whether it be during a special event or just a "drop in" occassion. Besides a general overall cleaning of both houses, all of the hallways and living areas were painted this past summer and all of the regular rooms were fixed up. Also, thanks to the help of several brothers the old floors in the big house were sanded down and refinished. VISITORS In the past several weeks our chapter has been visited by graduate brothers Mike F.arrow, Bill Caver, Phil Abernethy, and Terry Holowell, Thanks for your visits and please keep in touch?
