UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN
In order to extend our frontier
of conllnunity services the men of
RIho Phi are currently engaged in
assisting the 1973 United Way
Campaign in the Wabash Valley.
Already, the chapter has donat‐
ed its time by,delivering sacks of
Campaign materials to conlmerce
and bu.sinessё s in the Terre Haute
area. A number of the brothers
have also pledged their time and
energies to become members of
the Spttkers Bureau.These Broth―
ers will speak on the behalf of the
United Way at businesses and or‐
ganizations in the area.
Lastly
on 10ctober 20 the chapter mannё d

TRADE PARTIES
To better chapter relations with
the ISU sororities Rho Phi had
trade parties with Sigma Kappa
and Alpha Xi Delta.
The party with Sigma Kappa
was a barndance with a live bluegrass band. "Louie Popejoy"
played many of the chapter's favorite songs, such as, "Rocky Top"
and "The Graveyard Song." The
real highlight of the evening was
to square dance.
Since, nobody knew how at the
start it was fairly chaotie. It

straight tequila. Later the girls
took turns at attempting to break
a pinata filled with candy. The
rest of the evening was spent socializing and singing around the
piano.
At both parties a good time was
had by all, again this was due to
hard work and effort on the part
of the social committee and they
deserve another round of clicks.

The chapter's social calendar is
also full and has certainly been
successful. Two trade parties have
aided sorority relations. Many
mixers and theme parties put us
second to none socially.
As a consequence of our fairing
so well in the above mentioned
areas, Rho Phi is attracting a goc d
many pledge prospects. As ainxious as I am to make predictions,
I shall have to' let Bid Day speak

The auction at tt t end saw prizes

The Untalent Night enabled the
tnembers of Rho Phi to illustrate
just how little talent we have.
Shows ranged from Mike Goler
breaking bricks with Karate to
Gil Gauger's famed injured hog
call. The social committee formed
a band and played "Circuit Breaker" which was written by Ed lJoerflein. The party was indeed a
unique experience for all in attendance.
The social committee began to
grve clues about the "Leb's Make

party. Posters on campus gave
such clues as, "Have we got a deai

BOYS' CLUB WORK SESSION
On September 8th, before classes began for the new school Year,
the men of Rhc Phi were working
for the community at the Terre
Haute Boys' Club.
No object was too trivial to be
"wiped and swiped" by the mighty
cleaning and painting crews. Backboards, pool tables, shop tables,
counter tops, desks and bulletin
boards were left with bombastic

Chong, Jay, and a'52 Caddy." Ed
, Doerflein acting as Monty-Pooh
and Grafe Nesbrtt as J ay got the
show on the road with some fan: tasbic deals for the audience. Winners received a pint of Seagrarns,
but losers got a box of bottle caps.
A considerable number of the
Brothers have fallen prey to the
feminine elements in the area. Of
course, some of these were expected, but these Brothers are now offieially engaged.

involved in the action. This has
aided in making all of tirese par-

committee certainly deserves a
