THE PI CRUST
Fiji Key to Allegheny Football
The gridiron warriors of Pi Chapter
once again spearheaded the success of
the Allegheny Gators football season.
The 1997 Gators' season came to an
end with a play-off loss to Mount
Union. Senior Kyle Adamson was the
quarterback once again for the Gators,
and led the team to a 9-1 season.
The offensive line was anchored by
Phi Garns Marc Brozovich (tackle)
and Jeff Barber (center). Vince Coley
handled the punting for the Gators
again this season, while Kurt Palmer
provided support at the tight end position. T e outstanding play of these Pi
Chapter seniors kept the Gators at the
top of the NCAC. The football program at Allegheny will miss the heart
and skill of these athletes.
Other notable Pi Chapter standouts
on the Gators squad included juniors
John Williams (wide receiver) and
Brendon Bates (defensive line). Also,
a trio of talented sophomores, Jack
Cudzilo, W. Tres Donze and Brent
Krysinski, played on the defensive line
of the Gators.
The Fiji/football connection will
remain strong at Allegheny in the next
few years, as all nine of the new members of the chapter are involved with
the football program. In addition, Joe
Chiapetta (after weeks of negotiation
and free agency) will make his return
to the program to beef up the offensive line.

Graduate Assistance Ensures Best Rush Results
While much can be said about the
recent advancements made in nearly
every facet of fraternity and campus
life for Pi Chapter, there is a particular
facet about wnich enough can never
be said.
The chapter's rush chairmen have
been doing an excellent job locating
and pledging the best young men at
Allegheny College, but there is always
room for improvement. The best improvement any of the brothers can
come up with is more interaction by
graduates in the rush processnamely, recommendations.
If you know of young men who are
or will be attending Allegheny- and
whom you would be proud to call
brother-please take a moment to get
the information to us. With your input, we will be ensured of top rush
results for years to come.
