BCA formed
Several exciting changes are in store with regards to graduate involvement with the chapter. Over the
last month a new Board of Chapter Advisors has been set up. Several graduates have stepped up to help
in areas of chapter operations.
Each graduate that volunteers is paired with an undergraduate officer or committee chairman. You will
work with that brother in that one specific area. Graduates that volunteer can be located anywhere as
most – if not all – communication can be via email and/or telephone
If you are interested in helping, email BCA@isufiji.com or visit the chapter website at www.isufiji.com.
Thanks in advance, brothers
Dear Brothers,
Greetings from Tau Iota! I hope 2002 has been as special as a year for each of you as it has been for me. I
want to take this opportunity to reintroduce an ongoing drive by the housing corp. It’s the Tau Iota Capital
Improvement Fund (TICIF). This fund was created as an endowment type fund that would continue to
grow as Tau Iota borrows from it for capital improvement initiatives. But we need to grow it initially
through donations from our generous graduate supporters. (If you wish to make a donation or pledge,
please forward a check made payable to TICIF and mail it to me at 10535 Willow Creek Drive, Fort Wayne, IN
46845.)
After the last Pig Dinner, we reached the $1000 level with an additional $400 in pledges. Our goal is to get
this fund to $5000 in the next couple of years. Please consider donating or pledging money to this fund so
Tau Iota can be prepared for the next 30 years. Our financial strength is so important as we plan for capital
improvements in the next couple of years.
This past year we have seen a lot of leadership within the chapter. We should be very proud of our
undergraduate brothers for all they accomplished both in the classroom and outside of it. This is a good
chapter. Just like every chapter that has preceded them, finances remain a top issue. I am confident in both
the elected leadership and the direction they are taking the chapter to get this issue under control. Their
success in this area will also lead to a healthy year for Tau Iota and the house as well.
I ask every recipient of this letter to get down for a function this coming school year. Whether it be for the
summer work session, homecoming or Pig Dinner, your time and interest in the chapter is the most important
thing you can give back.
