Exemplifying another positive
step forward for our Chapter is the
reactivation of the Undergraduate
Scholarship program for deserving
Lambda Nu brothers. The Scholarship
Fund,formally known as the"Lambda

Fund;an unnamed Fund to honor our
"Housemother Always", Ms. Mae

making a more efficient and consistent
scholarship program available to the
undergraduate brothers. The latest
amendment,dated December 3,2001,
not only changes the name of the
Fund, but also provides for Fund
contingencies in the event ofchapter
fimction dismptions.
This year $4,500 was awarded fi-om
the Fund in Scholarships to deserving
Phi Gams on the Lincoln campus. This
is atremendous accomphshment.There
were over a dozen applications and the
selection was highly competitive.This
indicates that our Chapter continues
to become stronger in leadership and
academic performance.
The University of Nebraska
Foundation administers the Fund and
will accept any and all future donations
to the Fund.Contributions qualify for a
charitable deduction under the IRS
Code and can also be the recipient of
estate or other types ofplanned gifts.
