FIJI HOUSE IMPROVEMENTS CONTINUE
The Phi Gamma Delta House Corporation continues their
support of our Pi Mu Chapter here at Washington State
University.
In addition to completing the normal maintenance projects
this past summer, several improvements were completed.
One major improvement was the addition of French doors
to the formal living room, creating a quiet area where broth
ers can read, study or quietly visit with guests. Designating
quiet areas within our chapter house have been a priority.
A self-cleaning oven was added in the kitchenette, so
brothers can do some light cooking without having to heat
up the large kitchen gas range. We refurbished and moved
the ice machine from the basement to the kitchen area.
Some improvements were made to the women's (guest)
bathroom on the first floor. We also had the oak floors
professionally refinished and all the carpets steam cleaned.
Roof repairs included replacing the front section, and
the finished product looks great! Last year, the outside
chimney was repaired and many bricks were replaced fol
lowing the removal of the ivy. Thanks to the Honeycutt
family, we have installed stainless steel "FIJI" letters on the
chimney, and added a spotlight that shines on the letters
identifying our house.
During Work Week, we plan to dig a trench in order to
install new wiring for lighting for our wooden Phi Gamma
Delta sign.

in Greek Week
The men of Phi Gamma Delta
competed in the annual Greek Week
in April, and participated in many
different activities.
The Fijis were teamed with the
women of Kappa Alpha Theta for the
week.
Our team competed in many
different contests such as a lip sync
contest, Olympic Games and house
spirit competitions.
One member from each house was
asked to perform in a talent show
called "Greek God and Goddess."
Brother Gilbert Corsey, who was the
reigning Greek God, placed second
this year with his partner. They
performed a duet from the movie,
Moulin Rouge.
Overall, Greek Week was a
great experience for everyone, as
it showed us how everyone can
come together and have a great
time while taking part in friendly
competitions.

"I was involved in a vehicle pursuit
