Bulletin
DEDICATED TO THE GRADUATES OF UPSILON SIGMA
October 1968
Vol. I No. I
A new year is at hand for your chapter along with a new house and a fine
group of new pledges. Another addition to Upsilon Sigma is our monthly grad
uate bulletin which you are reading now. This is your personal connection with
your chapter. It is received only by former members of Upsilon Sigma. Please
feel free to make any suggestions which you feel I'ri.ll help to improve this
bulletin so that we may better serve you, our graduates, whose past efforts have
made Upsilon Sigma what it is today.
HOME SWEET HOME
Those of you who were especially fond of our house at the corner of 8th
East and 10th North will be saddened by this message. Those to whom it gave
nightmares will be gladdened. For some reason or other the University condemned
it as a fire trap! Former residents of the "Downstairs Colony" will understand
why. So we now have our fourth new house in four years which must be some kind
of a record.
Our new house is located at 636 East 5th North. It is located about |block from the foot of Old Main Hill which makes it very convenient. Host of
you will probably remember it as the old Alpha Gamma Rho house. Now when you
come to visit us you will kno^^ where to find us. But hurry, we have high hopes
of building our own house in the near future.
EKKLESIA HONOR
Those of you who participated in our weekly service projects last year
did not work in vain. Our delegates to the 120th Grand Bahama Ekklesia brought
home the Third Place Award for Baker Gup competition. Our thanks go out to
those of you who made it poaaible along with a promise to continue our efforts
and set a goal a couple of places higher this year.
\r\nAN EVEN DOZEN
1968 formal rush proved to be a very successful one for Phi Gamma Delta.
We focused our attention on quality rather than quantity and pledged twelve
of the top men on campus. We know that they will create a fine pledge class
and be a great asset to Upsilon Sigma. Following is a brief introduction to
our new pledges.
