President's Address
As 1 begin my term as President, i feel very confident
dbout the future success of Theto. Having just
completed my term as Treasurer and with a very eager
and experienced cabinet, i believe that new year will
has intentions of making major renovations to the
house, i look forward to a good year and i hope that
with input from alumni, Theta remains one of the
strongest Fraternities on campus.

made great improvements in many areas. The past

year marked a very good year in rush, pledging
twenty-two young men from various cities throughout
the South, Through good rush chairmdn and a strong
program, the Theta tradition seems to be carrying on.
In addition, we have made improvements with our
social services, and scholarship programs.
Although our Pig Dinner was quite successful this last
year, we still need more alumni support. We
desperately want to improve our graduate relations
program so Theta chapter will be as strong as possible
in every aspect. We encourage ail alumni to become
involved, through rush recommendations. Pig Dinner
attendance, or even a mere visit to the house.
Currently, we are very involved in cdmpus politics
and other organizations around campus. We are in the
process of forming a strong House Corporation that

forming a golf tournament for oiumni. We are currently in
the process ot organizing such on event during the
weekend ot Pig Dinner, it will be held at NorthRiver Yacht
Club on Saturday, April 13, if you ore interested in ploying
in this tournament, please contact either John Hirschman
or Pot Smith at (205) 391-4884 or 345-2131, With your input,
we will be able to work out the details for the number of
brothers that that will be playing and the costs involved.

In the last few years a lot of people hove contributed to
the renovotion of the house, inoluding groduote members,
the undergroduote chopter ond the mothers' club,
Thonks to the mothers' club, the lodies' powder room hos
been renovoted, including o new lovotory, woll poper ond
occessories, ond we hove o new rolling steom troy for
serving meols ond o new Industriol type floor model food
Dinner or at ony other event sponsored by the
chopter. The undergroduote chopter will continue to
provide ice and soft drinks, but ony groduote member
who wonts to drink onything stronger should bring it
himself.
