with only a few minor alterations
left to be completed, the new kitchen
is already turning out great meals.
Renovations will i;ontinue throughout
the year on the exterior of the house

patching

and
refabricating the window frames.
The Undergraduate Chapter would

the

Glen for their efforts in continuing
to make the house a great environment
and the cornerstone of this chapter.
It was decided to proceed with these
renovations because the negotiations
with
the
university
and
the
provincial
government
regarding
moving the chapter house have broken
down. It was hoped that the chapter
would be provided with an alternative
site for the house and some money in
compensation for giving up our lease
early. The possibility of extending
the lease past its expiry in 2007 has
also been discussed. Currently these
negotiations are not proceeaing.
Pig dinner will be a perfect
opportunity for everyone to see the
improvements that have been made to
the house.
See you there!

Donations were collected for the
Vancouver
Sun's Empty Stocking Fund through a relay run
around the city. This project, which enjoy

this year and will be managed by Ross Dun lop.
The "Cantel Briefchase" took place on
October 15 at the Pan Pacific Hotel, and once
again the brothers were there helping set up
banners, moving boxes, generally lending a
hand where they could. All in all, it was a
fantastic event and hopefully one which will

PRESIDENT'S LETfER
With only a small
percentage of
graduating brothers this year, Pi Gamma is
poised for one of its strongest years
ever. The summer of 1992 saw a great deal
of money and effort go toward substantial

Special
thanks must
be
extended to
graduate brother Glen Harris and our house
manager Tim Hopkins, who put many hours
into the coordination of this work. The
improved condition of the house has
contributed greatly to the positive and
enthusiastic attitude of the brothers of

One of our main goals for the 92-93

accomplished through events such as "Adopt

however, those involved were confident of
a repeat performance.
Once again Fiji 's
dominated Day of the Longboat, but with a
few surprises.
The strength
of
our
winning A-Team was a little to much for
the canoe and it sank 100m from the finish
of their heat.
Undaunted the B-Jeam went
on to win the finals, beating the nearest
competitor by 4 boat lengths.
Our success in major events, excellent
turnouts to noon runs, and a sporting
schedule that encompasses a diversity of
activities, from ice hockey to squash, has
propelled FIJI sports into first place in
