YEAR IN REVIEW
Pig Dinner
As the 93/94 year comes to an end, we can only be proud
of what the Lambda Omega Chapter has accomplished. With
a high level of dedication by brothers, strong leadership by
cabinet, and the much appreciated support of graduates, this
year was successful in many aspects. The chapter size was
doubled, which enabled us to dramatically better our financial
situation. Our house received much needed improvements in
the form of repairs and donations by graduates. The
brotherhood has never been stronger and our reputation is
that of a strong, organized and stable Fraternity here at UWO.
The relationship between the undergraduate chapter and
graduates has been taken to a new level of co-operation and
understanding. We look forward to the upcoming year with
optimism, and we hope, you the graduates will again play an
important and needed role in the undergraduate chapter!
The undergraduates at Lambda Omega would like to take
this opportunity to thank all those graduate brothers who
supported this years Pig Dinner. Overall, the weekend was a
great success, and the strong brotherhood of 627 was certainly
shown off. Friday night was the start of what turned out to be
quite a memorable weekend. The great speaking skills of
Mike Hagarty, and a fine pig provided by Sebastien's at Bistro
Soles, added to this momentous occasion. This years dinner
helped promote some of our "New Ideas" here at Western's
Fiji house, and also helped to raise some money for the
graduate newsletter, "The Chain". Thanks again to the more
than sixty brothers who contributed to making the 1994 Frank
Norris Dinner a huge success, and heres to hoping that next
years can be even better.

SPRING RUSH
Spring rush was held at the end of January. Although
1994 Norris Pig Dinner
faced with some constraints, such as being unable to setup a
rush booth, the chapter faired well. A spring class of four
was eventually pledged, consisting of David Karp, Rahim
Rajpar, Robert Stewart and Ryan Vender. This year we have
doubled our chapter size, a goal we established before our fall
rush. We are pleased with the quality of the individuals we
have brought through the portals of Phi Gamma Delta and are
looking forward to next years rush effort

Roadtrip to University of Michigan-
Alpha Phi Chapter
On November 19th, we sat around the house, bags
packed and eager to leave. One major obstacle preventing us
from making the annual trek south of the border, was that we
had seven brothers and four pledges, but only two cars. It
took about two hours to find a rental company that would rent
us a car(poor credit ratings), and then we were off to the
Alpha Phi Chapter, at the University of Michigan.
After a long drive, we miraculously arrived in Ann
Arbour and we were all amazed at the size of the chapter
house. As we walked in, we received a less than hospitable
welcome. Know apparently there had been some sort of mix-
up and they did not we were coming (they were also on social
probation). After we cleared the matter, we wandered around
the maze-like house and felt lost. That was soon to change.
A Fiji came back to the house, and apparently had a
slight altercation with several members of another fraternity.
Being the gentlemen that we are, we decided that we were
going to settle the problem ‘diplomatically’. In less than ten
minutes, about 80 Fijis were congregated in front of the
suspect's fraternity house. Although details will be spared for
various reasons, the issue was solved. As we walked back,
many of us experienced what it meant to be a true Phi
Gamma Delta. The rest of the weekend was spent
reminiscing about that night, and an incredible time was had
by all. Looking forward to the next roadtrip.

Social Report
I would like to announce the new socials for the
upcoming 1994-1995 school year; our internal social is Bruno
Jean Lamarche, and our external socials are Paul Keith
Cowan and Rob Wieslaw Jan Kowalik. This year our chapter
as accomplished many of the goals we had set out to fulfil.
For example, we were more involved in Quad and 6-Pack
parties at our local bars, thus straying away from destructive
house parties and putting a little extra money in the chapter's
hands. We have also had more events with other Fraternities
and Sororities, thus increasing our relations within the Greek
community. As we are preparing for the new year's social
calender, Bruno, Paul, and Rob are busy working on
furthering these goals. I personally feel that our reputation as
" Phi Gam's" has been up held this year, and, has been taken
to a new level. I wish the chapter and the new socials all the
best in the upcoming school year.
