Greetings brothers and welcome to the
long awaited Lambda Nu Newsletter!
Although it's been awhile since we've
gotten one ofthese together,I think you'11
enjoy what we have in store for you!
Looking back on four years of involve
ment with the Fraternity, I have seen
many changes occur. Long gone are the

for the better occurred on account of an
unfortunate accident that happened just
two years ago. Since the'93 incident,the
Lambda Nu chapter,it's officers, and the
Board of Trustees made a conscious ef
fort to change the ideals of which our
Fraternity exists. This was done by reevaluating the type of people we wanted
to join us in membership.
Since that time, I have seen the house
bounce back faster than I could have ever
imagined. This regeneration in Lambda
Nu started the first summer after the

expulsion from campus altogether, the
University imposed numerous sanctions
and placed us on probation. Our Interna
tional fraternity also imposed deserved
restraints and conditions upon us. Mem
bership at Lambda Nu plummeted. We
had 43 members residing in a house with
a capacity of 72. Our social activities
and pleasure to serve

ated with the young men who stayed with
Lambda Nu and abided by the sanctions
and probationary condition. I am proud
of the academic record we have estab
lished. I am proud of the reform, re
newal, and the revival which have oc
curred. We still have a long road to
travel. But, we face it with a revitalized

1994 = 145 in attendance, 1995 = 130 in

The house had just
been refurbished and many Fiji's had
gathered on our balcony to dedicate our
new bell to E. Austin Temple,'34. After
a short ceremony Brother Temple and
his wife each gave a teary-eyed speech
about how Phi Gamma Delta had given
him the best years of his life and how he
met his future wife through it. At that
moment, as over 40 young men are try
ing to hold back tears, I felt a combina
tion of pride and joy that I believe makes
Phi Gamma Delta special. I have felt this
