Philanthropy:
A High Priority At
Kappa Nu
The brotherhood has devoted con
siderable time during the past
two semesters to philanthropic
events. The events generally involved
the entire brotherhood, and the proceeds
were donated to a local charity or com
munity program.
In March 1995, we held an "up-allnightathon" with the sisters of Alpha
Chi Omega to raise money for the Itha
ca Youth Bureau. The event was
extraordinarily successful, raising over
$1,200 to support programs for disadvantaged Ithaca youth. At the Fiji
Island party last May, we collected
money for the Respite program. The

ber of Fijis are taking an
active role in varsity sports. The nation
ally ranked lacrosse team will be led this
year by senior John Sullivan '96. Sully,
who was fourth on the team in scoring
last season and who plays attack, is a
probable candidate as this year's cap
tain. On the inlet, brothers Ed Connolly
'97 and Aaron Miller '98 are competing
for the first boat for the heavyweight
crew team, while Chris Fonzone '98 is
making waves for the now self-funded
lightweight crew team. Brother Chris
Campisano '98 is a starter for the rugby
team and looks forward to leading the
team through the national tournament.
And, finally, a round of clicks to Ran
dall Etheridge '97, who served as cap
tain of the squash team this past winter.
