SET FOR JUNE 8*"
Family weekend, a time cherished.and
enjoyed by parents and brothers as well,
is fast approaching. The stage is set
for the Jvuie 8th weekend and activities
for a better weekend are being developed.
The tentative schedule is to start the
weekend off by having a "full participa
tion" Softball game on Saturday after
noon. A keg will be on hand to quench
everyones' thirst. That evening at ap
proximately 5*00 pm, the brothers of
FIJI will

bigger and
host their parents to a barb
dinner. This worked out well
and plans for this year are
better. After dinner everyone
is given a few hours to relax and chat
before the
late evening festivities take
from plants that have more than one FIJI
place. At approximately 8100 pm the
parents and brothers will dance to a band
playing songs of "yesteryear." On Sunday
atftemoon, at approximately liOO pm, din
student or
ner will be served.

FIJI ATHLETICS
This past section, A-3, proved to be quite fruitful, but in the end, disappointing
to the FIJI basketball program. With no less than three teams participating, they had

The A-tovomey team almost put it all together this time, while posting a 4-1.re
cord in the regular season - losing only to the
team at GMI the past 4 years, Kwames
Raiders. The tesua won a hard fought battle against SA£, 6i-60, to earn a spot xn ^ the
semi-finals. The semft-final game was played against the Phi Belt's with our team jumping
out to an early lead. But when the smoke cleared, our men found themselves a little
short on the scoreboazd. However, the season was good enough to place us second amoung
all fraternities on campus. Congratulations are in order to the team members for the
best season in a couple of years.
Our B»toumey Fiji Warriors also turned in an identical 4-1 record over the reg
ular season and qualified for the semi-finals. The final game was so close all the way
but the liarriors lost the heartbreaker 48-^*4 to Phi Eta Psi. %e other B-toumey team
the Fiji Fu's, also played gallantly all year and posted a fine 3-2 record.
Also along the sports line, the Brothers are currently trying to raise money for
new uniforms that could be used for both basketball and volleyball. Eventually we would
like to buy softball uniforms and some sports equipiront for the house.
Once again, congradulations to all brothers -ino xj-uctlclpateii In sycrie and who kept
up the fine tradition of FIJI excellence in athletics.
