That is right, chairmen. As of this
semester we are now electing two House
Chairmen. Thejob is starting to get too
big for one person. Hopefully with two
chairmen there will always be one
around, and more work should get
done. The responsibilities were to be
split to have one working inside while the
other makes sure the grounds are cared
for. But responsibilities, inside and out,
are being shared. Besides general
maintenance several projects are going
to get done. Over this spring break, the
leak from Tar Beach is finally going to
get done. The alumni have given the ok
for a new roof to be put on with appropri
ate gutters and liters, to avoid any stand
ing water. We will no longer have to
move the pool table every time it rains.
Another important job that has to get

needed to continue one of the vital

the semester our infamous Friday night

party that only a fat girls foot and not the

the floor is fixed the old tiles will be chip

put down. But to do all of this right is
going to get expensive. Hopefully a
phone-a-thon could raise the needed "
money.
Other things that need to be done are
not as big. Lights will probably get put in
the living room. Also the tables down in
the bar have to be fixed up, since some
mysterious force trashed them last
semester. Besides this there are several
violations that must be corrected before
the next inspection, and there is always
painting and outdoor cleanup that needs
to be done. So it can be seen that there is
plenty to be done. We hope that these

This semester has once again been
one which much of what is seen publicly
with regards to the Greek System at Rut

drinking age has caused confusion and
furor. The housing inspections proved
to be awakening and quite costly. The
fraternity and sorority system has once
again been the subject of controversy
and debate within the Rutgers and Mew
Brunswick communities.
Fiji of course has been playing an in
tegral part in the shaping of the Rutgers
system. I am pleased to say that the role
of Phi Gamma Delta has been a positive
one. Tom Donohue has served quite well
in his role as RF/SC representative to the
Rutgers College Governing Association.
We are all thankful for his diligence and
wish him luck in his post as Chapter Pres

One idea in the state legislature is to
allow college students to drink at their
school pubs, even if they are not 21. The
idea is that college students can walk to
their pubs and not have to drive after
drinking. It will also stop some of the
new traffic going into Mew York to be able
to drink legally. More than likely this idea
was just thrown out to appease college
students and make them think that the

liu Beta has launched her most se

coveted cup in 1976. It has been seven
long years since the Rutgers "Phi Qams"
have been victorious in the Keller com

has stood strong in the past and has
consistently taken second and third
places. This Keller season, Scott Ringle,
our Athletics Chairman, has been suc

our strong contenders are. Beta Theta Pi

The first semester was highlighted
with strong soccer, football, and cross
