Renovations
New Pledge Class and New Cabinet Bring
Positive Changes to the Chapter
Completed at
Dickenson Lodge
By David M.Simon '92, President
Presently, the Omicron Deuteron Chapter is changing in both
membership and leadership. Of the original fall pledge class of over 30
men,23 pledges will be initiated in early Januaiy. At this time, a new and
extremely capable cabinet will be at the helm.
In the first week of January, the fall pledge class initiation will
provide an almost 50 percent increase in paying members. This will be
the largest pledge class to become active in over five years and, what is
even more encouraging, these future members uphold the quality and
standards for which the chapter is known. The work is not finished,
however, and it will be the responsibility of the new cabinet and rush
chairs to keep the ball rolling in an informal rush.Pledging between 15
and 20 members in the spring is by no means an unattainable goal.
A new cabinet has been elected and they are strong and eager. I feel
that they will be successful in further strengthening this great chapter.
Much of the chapter's recent success can be attributed to the
support of you,the graduate brothers. We at Omicron Deuteron, strongly
encourage you to become more involved with the fraternity by attending
Monday night dinners and the golf tournament in the spring. For
information on how you can get more involved, please contact Patrick
Pagan at(614)291-8714.

By Patrick J. Clark '94,
Corresponding Secretary
Great accomplishments have been
achieved at Phi Gamma Delta since
the spring of 1992. House manager
Mike Roeder '93, under the
supervision of the House
Corporation,led a renovation team
in completing $10,000 worth of
improvements to Dickenson Lodge
including: painting the house
interior and front pillars;
refurnishing and recarjjeting the
television room; blacktopping the
parking lot; landscaping the front
yard; and installing window security
bars and new main entrance locks.
Much thanks goes to Rick Smudz'75
for his efforts in collecting donations
for a new pool table and outdoor
grill.
All of these improvements
helped us with our main focus for
the new school year, which was fall
rush. As the result of the hard work
of the active chapter directed by
