The Kappa Phi chapter at the University of South Florida chartered on May 8, 1971. The chapter ceased in 1981. The chapter was recolonized on October 1, 2016.   The chapter ceased again during the 2023-2024 academic year. The chapter is located in Tampa, Florida.

The 2016 Ritual Team included: Ritualist: Ed Gabe (Hanover College 1990); President: Tucker White (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University 2017); Treasurer: Jacob Scheler (Nova Southeastern University 2016); Recording Secretary: Shayan Shams (Florida International University 2016); Corresponding Secretary: Patrick Garrity (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University 2017); Historian: Michael Bartoletta (Florida State University 2018).

The Directors included: Joshua Pevitz (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University 2017); Matthew Lohwater (Nova Southeastern University 2018); Henry Brimo (Florida International University 2016); and Adam Hillyard (Nova Southeastern University 2018).

The Legate was William Gifford Clegg (University of South Florida 1977).
