On November 22, 1947 the Kosmet
Klub show was presented before a ca
pacity audience of over 5,000. Phi
Gamma Delta was presented with the
first place for their skit, "She Was
m
Only a Pharoh's Daughter,
But
She
Never Became a Mummy."
The scene was in Cleopatra's bed
room.
The action concerned the an
tics of Cleo, pledge John Carson
('51); Mark Anthony, Bob
Jordan
('49); and Caesar, Dee Devoe ('48).
Cleo has a date with Anthony, who

on
a
motor
scooter.
As the
scene progresses Caesar unexpectedly
arrives in a new Crosley. A battle is
averted by an Egyptian dancing team
throwing some mean hips. After the
"dance" Caesar pursues a coy Cleo
patra, and finally captures her. An
thony zips back thru on his scooter
and Caesar follows him in hot pursuit.
The climax comes with the entire
cast scrambling across the stage with
Cleopatra on the scooter.
And with a grind and a bump—the Phi
Gams danced into first place at the
Kosmet Klub revue. Above, the Egyptian
dancing girls strut their stuff before the
capacity crowd.
Jerry Johnston ('49) was skitmaster for the production.
