Fifth Street, North Logan, Utah 84321 November 19, 1973 GRiVDUATE NEWSLETTER Dear Brothers, This is the first of many graduate letters to come this year. We'll try our best to keep you posted on activities and happenings around the house. The brothers came back to school this fall to find the house had been completely painted inside. At the ijresent time the floor in the downstairs hall,p)Ool room^and bar is being replaced. Although our ;tootball team is not the best amoung the fraternities our cross country team took first placeeover all. Our bowling team shows promise as we snuffed out Sigma Nu the other- day. For the la,st 3:.\-xc{'^: years we have taken first place in Fraternity scholarship and last spring was no exception as the house average was over 3»1, Philanthropy is a big goal at Utah State and the 68 and 69 Baker Cup and last year's Honorable Mention are .just to prove it. We had a service pro.ject this week with the Presbyterian Church. The next will be a in a few weeks and it will be a Christmas Party for the Head Start kids. The big topic of the newsletter is to inform you that the '' Purple Garter Party is being held on Dec, 1, All brothers are to meet at the house at 7:30, We urge the graduates to come up and patricipatc. Some of our brothers from Poky Colony will be coming down to party with us. Several of our last years grads took out to distant lands and here's what they're doing: Peter Cooke-now serving three months in the army and with his Masters Degree in political science he will be working for Senator Moss of Utah, Pete Becker-now serving six years in the Air Force. His plans are to either teach or become a commercial pilot. Skip Loeffler-is now studying on a gracluate scholarship ip Wisconsin, Chuck Riddle-is a graduate student is psychology, John IBupple-he is a graduate student and teaches in Sraithfield, Topics of next letter will be; A,)Birthday Party, B,) Past and Future Weddings C,) Blac'x Diamond D,) New Officers, E,) White Owl Club, The paper attached is one printed up last spring which did not send out so it may be a little out of date.
