DR.ARTHUR HANSEN RETURNS FOR PIG DINNER
The 1987
Norris Pig Dinner in honor of the 86th anniversary
of the Lambda Iota Chapter at Purdue University
was held at the
chapter house for the second year in a row. Dr. Richard Grace
'51 explains that the Pig Dinners were traditionally held in the
chaiJter house then were
moved to the Lafayette Country Club in
the late 1950's. With the renovation program, the undergraduate
brothers felt it was fitting to bVing the dinner back to the
chapi.er house; a tradition carried on this year.
Former Purdue President, Dr. Arthur Hansen '47, was the
featured speaker at this year's dinner. Brother Hansen served as
President of the University from 1970 until 1982 when he left to
