ALL HAIL THE PIG!
Graduates Return To PSI
The day began with a great home football game as
the Little Giants easily rolled over Ohio Wesleyan,277. FoUowing the game were the normal donuts and
cider. Then, brothers moved to the back living room
for hers d'oeuvres and cocktails in preparation for the
feast.
Once the brothers had filled the dining room, and
opening remarks were given by the Symposiarch,
Brothers Rick Pitts ('83), the Chapter broke into a
rambunctious chorus of"Bringing in the Pig" as the
pledges marched in. Brother David Stoner('42)repre
sented the active chapter in kissing the snout of the
Pig, and rhyne John Keith ('91) had the distinct
honor of removing the cherry as his pledge brothers
paid homage to their respective end of the Pig.
Before dinner was served. Brother Eki Ciolkowski
('88) delivered the invocation and Brother Kurt

dinner, reports were given by chapter president Carl
Maertz ('89), Board of Chapter Advisors president
Peteris Silins ('62), and House Corporation member
Craig Green ('59). Concluding the formal event was
the keynote address given by Brother David Buckles

Forty-seven Phi Gams made their way back to the
Fratemify for this most auspicious of occasions. In
the majority were the classes of 1982 and 1983,
returning to support and harass their pledge brothers
Rick Pitts and David Buckles. Indeed, as the night
progressed through singing and the traditional game
of Indian, Brothers were reminded once again that
"Phi Gamma Delta is not for college days alone."

Graduate Directory
Brothers,
Brothers,
Psl Chapter has successfully rebounded from its
financial difficulties of 18 months ago. We have paid
off aU outstanding debts and set up a schedule to pay
the Housing Corporation the back-rent which has
accumulated since 1985.
With 70 Brothers and pledges living in the house,
we are once again able to generate enough income to
do some things which have been long overdue. These
include having more Graduate functions and
reframing all of the composites and pictures from the
circhives. These pictures are displayed throughout the
house, so that others may see the pride which we all
feel for Psl and our Graduate Brothers. We have also
begun, with the Interestfrom the Duckworth Grant,to
reupholster the study chairs and have begun to plan a
revamping of the first floor.
We hope to be able to continue improving our
financial situation and even start asavings plcm ofour

Psi Chapter extends its condolences to the wife of
Brother Joseph Bird, class of 1953,who died July 28th
of this year. She wrote us in early September:"Joe only
attended Wabash for two years but went on to
graduate from the U.S.NA in 1953. He spent the
majority of his naval career in submarines having
commemd of the Backer in San Diego. He spoke
warmly of Wabash and the Brothers of Psi Chapter."
To Mrs. Bird, we wish the best.
