:KTiC,
LOOKING FORWARD TO 1986!
With the initiation of 13 new brothers on January 6,
1986, Pi Sigma has wrapped up an excellent year. 1985
saw a strong showing of Phi Gamma Delta within the
fraternity system. Fiji's leaders were present among the
inter-fraternity council, student government, and honorary
societies. A new scholarship awareness has boosted the
house's overall QPA and we were a stiff competition for
the other fraternities in the area of rush. A recent move
by 8 of Pitt's fraternities to university housing has not im
pinged on our rush efforts and I believe that we have con
tinually taken the best quality pledge classes.
I look forward to 1986! The newly elected board is very
competent and I am assured that they will succeed in stri
ving for excellence. The ball is rolling for Pi Sigma. To
add to its momentum, though, we need increased graduate
involvement. A working Board of Chapter Advisors is one
goal that should be met. Any graduate interested should
contact either Bruce Monsour, the 1986 president, or the

Dear Brothers,
i! f
yAR0 4 IS;
I'm happy to announce that the Pi Sigma Association is alive
and well and resides at the University of Pittsburgh! You can
find us at the Fraternity House on the first Wednesday of each
month where we meet at 7:30 p.m.
We graduate brothers continue to meet monthly not only to
take care of the general operations of the House, but also to
renew past friendships and foster new friendships.
As we begin 1986, there are several new projects to be under
taken and we welcome your help with them. New faces and
ideas are essential to keep our group vital and current. Even
ifyou can't come every month, come when you can. Our next
meeting will be held Wednesday, February 12th (Due to
scheduling difficulties it cannot be held the first Wednesday)
at 7:30 p.m. — Hope to see you then!
Graduate Relations Chairman.

beginning a training program for Fiji brothers and other Pitt

This is a program that Fiji welcomes and encourages all to

that we can all learn to live with.
\r\nPitt-Penn State Run
This year's Pitt-Penn State run was one of the best to date!
Franco Harris, along with 15 anxious runners, participated in
this year's run. Penn State Fiji's ran the game ball Vi way from
Rush
Penn State to Pitt, and that's when our team took over.
Running in treacherous, stormy conditions didn't seem to
bother these dedicated runners, who arrived at Pitt Stadium in
time to deliver the game ball to Foge Fazio.
We salute this year's runners, who raised approximately
$1,500 for a local charity.
This term we are taking full advantage of a restructured
rush implemented by IPG. Now the emphasis on alcohol
is less and is more on attracting men who are seriously
endeavoring to attain their future goals. Pi Sigma welcomes
this opportunity as an advantage to recruiting men that
will strive to maintain our 69 years of ideals and
